Spring Blooms

I made my first trip to the Missouri Botanical Gardens this Saturday with my parents and Matt. Everything is still beginning to bloom but the tulips looked beatiful. I was looking for inspiration for a print to blow up for my dining room. I'm trying to decide if I like tulips enough to blow this particular one up to about 16x20. I want it black and white because it's more subtle for where I want it. I would like to go back and visit in about a month and see if there are any other flowers that stimulate my creativity.

In other news, I am around 10 weeks in my pregnancy and I am scheduled for a cerclage on May 1. Just as a reminder a cerclage is stitch put in the uterus to treat cervical incompetence. It will stay in until I am 36 weeks. I'm very nervous and there is a chance that this will not work. So I will breath easier once I get back 18-20 weeks which is when my last two miscarriages happened. I'm physically feeling okay and ready for each coming week!

All great pics from MOBOT on flickr! You def. need to go back later in the spring/early summer... there will be SO much to choose from. My favorite time is when the lily pad flowers are in full bloom

Keeping you and the "heir to the chocolate dynasty" in my thoughts as May 1 approaches.
